Honours Course Starting New Ventures

What? 
The honours course gives insights in starting new ventures on a global scale. Experienced entrepreneurs are sharing their tips and tricks in an interactive environment. Real life, proprietary case studies of Harvard Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will be used during the course. The participants will be triggered to reach their full potential as an entrepreneur. In two final days the participants will show entrepreneurial skills to a distinguished jury. Successful participation will be rewarded with a certificate. 

By who?
This honours course is given by Professor Kenneth P. Morse, Managing Director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center. This serial entrepreneur is co-founder of six world leading high tech companies and worldwide famous for his impressive classes on global sales. The course is coordinated by Dr. Dap Hartmann, assistant professor at Delft University of Technology. Additional entrepreneurial professors will share their knowledge on different aspects of starting a new venture. Furthermore, various young entrepreneurs will tell their own experiences.

For who?
Students of Delft University of Technology, Leiden University, and Erasmus University Rotterdam can participate on this honours course. The course is meant for talented and passionate students with the ambition to become an entrepreneur. The participants are required to have sufficient theoretical background on entrepreneurship.

When?
The honours course is given in the first semester of the academic year 2009-2010. The honors course starts with a kick off on October 8th, followed by 9 lectures and one final days in December. The nine lectures take place on Thursdays, in the evening hours at different faculties of Delft University of Technology. During these lectures dinner for participants is included..

Costs?
The participants will have to pay 125 Euro for the course, dinner is of course included as mentioned above.
They will receive the book Technology Ventures: From Idea to Entreprise by Richard Dorf and Thomas Byers needed for the lectures. This book has been recommended by Kenneth P. Morse.
