The Ampelmann Company makes offshore access as easy as crossing the street. The Ampelmann system is a platform on six hydraulic cylinders, such as the undercarriage of an aircraft simulator. This system can be easily and rapidly assembled on board of ships. By measuring the ongoing movements of the ship and hereby adjusting the length of the cylinders, the upper deck of the Ampelmann stands entirely stable in relation to the fixed world.
