At the start of your company, it is important to discern which type of legal base, according to Dutch law, suits your company best. The results of this activity are agreements between the co-owners and shareholders of the company. These agreements are formalized in statutes and a contract. Discuss this issue first with your coaches finally with a notary.
If you decide to officially found your company, you need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Register at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce;
- Register at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst)
and request a Dutch VAT identification number (‘BTW nummer’).
