Financing

Before you start to finance your company, you must answer the following questions:
- For what do I need money?
-  How much money do I need for this?

These two aspects determine the purpose of your financial plan and the type of financing you need to seek. Develop a profile and discuss this first with a coach.  Read subsequently the guideline ‘Starters Capital’ (Startkapitaal). You can obtain this guideline for free at YES!Delft.

1st Round Financing
The first phase financing refers to the money injection needed for the development of a prototype of your product. Financers in this round are usually classified as the three F’s, which are 'Family, Fools and Friends'. To finance your activities in this phase you can, in addition, apply for the pre-seed loan of a maximum sum of 12,000 euro (per person). This loan is offered by TU Delft in cooperation with the Rabobank.

2nd Round Financing
In this round you can consider the following different types of financing:
- Subsidies;
- Loans (from banks and others);
- Venture capital.
