Ephicas develops and sells fuel saving aerodynamics add-ons for the road transport industry.
Ephicas More than 50% of the air resistance of trucks originates from the trailer. In the wind tunnel of the TU Delft, Ephicas has designed the Ephicas SideWing (ESW): an aerodynamic side skirt for semi-trailers. The unique patented design of the ESW realizes:
- Fuel savings 5% to 10%
- 10 to 15 ton less CO2 per truck per year
- Increased road safety
- Less driving noise
The ESW is available for practically all different trailer types and will be suitable for both retro-fit and new trailers.
Besides the ESW, Ephicas focuses on the research & development of several products increasing the aerodynamics of truck-trailers combinations.
Ephicas is member and initiator of
the Platform for Aerodynamic Road Transport.
