HCI develops a foldable container for more efficient transport.
Holland Container Innovations (HCI) focuses on the HCI Foldable Container. This is a 40ft HC ISO-standard and CSC-approved container which can be used to transport goods via land and sea. The distinguishing feature of this container is that it can be folded when empty, which reduces the storage space needed for empty containers and their unproductive transportation. In its folded state, the container occupies ¼ of the volume of a normal container. Four folded containers are the same volume as one normal container, and the four-container package can be handled as one container. Future plans include more sizes (20ft and 45ft).
