As a Delft University alumnus, Arend started his career at Philips Laboratories USA, worked at a Production Automation company, and started his own computer vision company Eagle Vision. Eagle Vision makes high-speed industrial quality inspection systems for food and packaging. As CEO he ‘walked the walk’ of innovative technology development, strategic company positioning and successful team building. After 20+ years Eagle Vision was sold to an US strategic buyer. Currently Arend is active in multiple computer vision and machine learning technology companies as advisor and investor. He is looking forward to advice and support technology startups and scaleups, with a focus on computer vision products and smart sensor systems.
