Noria

Worldwide, about 1 truckload of plastic waste ends up in our oceans every minute. That is 8 million tons of plastic waste per year.

It is estimated that annually more than 3 million kilos of plastic waste goes to the North Sea via the Dutch rivers.

In countries such as China, Indonesia, Vietnam, … the challenge is way higher.

Noria is a company that develops sustainable methods and techniques to remove plastic waste from the water close to the source.

In order to reach this, research is first conducted into a specific situation so that an optimally appropriate solution can be realized.

With this approach we analyse the natural conditions such as water current and wind direction.

By selecting the location where the plastic drifts, no external energy source is needed and the waste problem can be tackled in a sustainable and affordable way.

By cooperating with nature and removing the plastic close to its source, harmful substances can be prevented from entering the environment.

This is partly because the decomposition process from macro to microplastics has not yet taken place.

More information about all our services can be found on our website www.noria.earth

Aquablu

AquaBlu

Aquablu’s main purpose as a company is to make it easy for people to turn to safe drinking water, without taxing the planet’s resources in the process. Thanks to its unique filtration technology, it produces pure and mineral-rich drinking water in a sustainable and natural way. Supreme Osmosis technology ensures Aquablu users can turn even the most contaminated forms of water, into pure drinking water. Aquablu’s (monitoring) technology is driven by Artificial Intelligence, ensuring the system is always one step ahead. The Aquablu App allows its users to get insight into the quality of their drinking water, as well as the technical status of their system. Using an Aquablu purifier eliminates the need for plastic bottles, leading to a fundamental reduction of plastic waste, waste water & carbon dioxide emissions.

About Aquablu

Being a surfer, Marnix had always been close to nature. Whenever he traveled the world, water was always at the very center of life. Shipping water from Fiji to Europe, however, creates the direct opposite. With hundreds of millions of people relying on plastic bottles as their only safe water source, no wonder these plastics litter today’s oceans, streets and beaches. Marnix, together with his business partner & co-founder Marc, believes that no one should ever have to rely on plastic bottles for safe drinking water. The first smart purifier was invented to not only tackle the plastic problem but bring safety and transparency to a market that is characterized by misunderstanding.

Why you should care

Safe water is a fundamental human right. Still, over 663 million people live without access to clean drinking water. Our rivers, resevoirs, lakes and seas are drowning in chemicals, waste, plastic and other pollutants. 80% of the world’s wastewater is dumped back into the environment. The widespread problem of water pollution is jeopardizing our health. Meanwhile, our drinkable water sources are finite: less then 1% of the earth’s fresh water is actually accessible to us. Still, too many people depend on plastic bottles to access safe drinking water. Aquablu tackles these two problems at once: we are on a mission to make safe local (bottle-less) drinking water available for everyone, everywhere.
