YES!Delft

UNconference: creating the maritime future

On June 19th, The Maritime Innovation UNconference will take place at the duurzaamheidsfabriek in Dordrecht.

This UNconference is organized by YES!Delft and Smart Delta Drechtsteden and focuses on collaboration between innovative Start-ups, Scale-ups, and established companies from the Drechtsteden region.

It will be an interactive event where participants will share their knowledge and experience, and learn from the experiences and expertise of others.

The event collaborates with key regional initiatives. These initiatives hold a strong regional position, ensuring continuity and innovation power. Members from the ecosystems of ZEDhub, Refit Alliance, and Smart Shipping Hub are also invited to participate in the Unconference.

What is a UNconference?

The purpose of the UNconference is knowledge sharing. The expertise, challenges, and questions of the participants determine the program of the UNconference. What makes this gathering so valuable is that it revolves around topics that you find important! Under the expert guidance of a moderator, we will collectively set the agenda for various breakout sessions. These sessions will address topics that meet the needs of the participants. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with new networks and exchange knowledge in a relaxed and dynamic atmosphere.

What are we going to do?

When you arrive on Wednesday, we’ll first have a brief gathering to explain how the UNconference works and what the day will look like. Then, we’ll start by looking at the agenda together. The agenda will feature a matrix with all available spaces and time slots. We’ll begin with a blank agenda, but the idea is for each of us to place our topics or questions for discussion in the time slots. You will be asked to write your question/topic on a post-it note. Then, one by one, we will announce these topics and assign your post-it note to a room and time slot.

If you’ve proposed a session, it’s your responsibility to be present in the session and initiate the discussion. You can introduce your topic by asking an initial question or providing information about your thoughts. Each room will have a facilitator present to help facilitate the discussion when necessary.

Each room will have a flip chart, markers, and post-it notes that can be used for drawing or writing, and where the results of each session can be documented.

The aim of this event is to engage in conversation with one another and learn from each other. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, learn from each other , share your knowledge, make new connections, and have fun!
