TOP 10 Startup Success Stories: November

The Holidays are around the corner, which means we are almost ready to wrap up 2020. One could think there would be fewer successes to share, but look at all the achievements from our startups that took place in November! Keep on reading and find out all about this.

1. VIKTOR

VIKTOR had successfully raised a Series A funding round from InnovationQuarter and the sitting Board of Directors. This new investment round will enable the startup to accelerate their developments and help their clients to realize their digital ambitions more quickly.

2. Breeze

The dating app startup closed its first funding round of  €140.000! This investment allows them to accelerate their growth and make keep on creating an impact on the industry by bringing online dating offline again. In addition, the startup also launched its app in The Hague!

3. Gerrard Street

Did you know that soundproof headphones are a must for a healthy home workplace? Gerrard Street was a guest at BNR Nieuwsradio this month to tell us all about this.

4. Circularise

Together with the School of Data Science, the blockchain startup Circularise won “From Plastic Pollution to Upcycling Economy” track of the Odyssey Momentum, the biggest blockchain hackathon in the world!

5. SD-Insights

This startup won the nationale verkeersveiligheidsprijs 2020, the ‘Olympics’ for road safety. This prize is an initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, ANWB, Veilig Verkeer Nederland, and the foundation for scientific research on traffic safety.

6. Envision

The Envision Glasses are available for everyone to buy. After a successful pre-order campaign the product can now be shipped worldwide.

7. PATS Indoor Drone Solutions

“By 2030, the use of pesticides in European agriculture and horticulture must be reduced by 50%.” This is one of the ambitious goals under the Farm-to-Fork strategy. PATS Indoor Drone Solutions got the opportunity to talk to Dutch news program RTL Z, to talk about their solution and how it contributes to making Dutch horticulture even more sustainable.

8. SLAM Orthopedic

The team of SLAM Orthopedic announced that they won the Venture Challenge Fall Edition 2020. The program challenged them to analyze all the aspects of their venture and helped them to focus on improving their strategy and message.

9. Nurtio Technologies

Nurtio Technologies is going international. The startup signed a cooperation agreement with Kenneth Freeman, an expert in interior landscaping and biophilic design, who will help them in their final stage of the product development, and also commercially representing Nurtio Technologies in the United Kingdom.

10. Plotwise

This startup, who develops innovative AI-based planning software is striving to improve the safety, sustainability, and efficiency of home delivery, has secured an investment from the South Holland energy innovation fund ENERGIIQ to further expand and scale up its services.
