Top 10 tech startup success stories: August

YES!Delft startups in full bloom in August: PATS Indoor Drone Solutions, Nurt.io and Mythronics all had exciting news to share. Moreover, the startups from our digital hub in The Hague have been taking off: LexIQ landed on the front page of Trouw and got an interview in BNR! Curious about their stories? 1.LexIQ

The AI legal startup collaborated with the national leadership of the Openbaar Ministerie. Concretely, they designed a search engine for various criminal cases together. The national newspaper Trouw reports that this has shown that prosecutors ask for different sentencing for the same crimes depending on the region.

2.PATS Indoor Drone Solutions

The Accelerator alumnus of the 2018 batch is in full bloom this month and has signed an agreement with Koppert Cress. This results in their collaboration on automating part of the crop protection process with drones. In conclusion, the aim is to ensure a sustainable future and socially responsible cultivation. 

3.Gerrard Street

The leasable headphones as a service startup and Accelerator Alumnus has started its first international adventure! This means they are bringing sustainable and high-quality headphones to music lovers in the UK. Moreover, the complex tech startup is featured as in the newest YES!Delft startup stories!

4.Momo Medical

This MedTech startup was named Startup of the Week by Sprout! They are the developers of the Momo BedSense. This medical device provides insight into the prevention of pressure ulcers and makes prevention easier. In addition, they could help cut the costs associated with pressure ulcers, which runs into 15 billion euros annually on a European level. 

5.SeaState5

This robotics startup and Accelerator alumnus aims to reduce the ecological impact of offshore wind. Concretely, they are developing underwater noise mitigation systems. Curious? Listen to their pitch on BNR Zakendoen (from 49:30). 

6.Nurtio Technologies

YES!Delft startups in full bloom: the ComplexTech startup has started collaborating with our partner Studio Mango, an industrial design and engineering company. Concretely, Mango is going to help the virtual gardeners design the new generation of sensors with significantly extended functionality. In addition, they will prepare for mass manufacturing together.

7.Mythronics

The Accelerator alumnus presented their autonomous inspection & monitoring platform for produce to the specialist publication Groentenieuws. Read how deep learning technology checks 2600 paprikas per hour on ripeness. 

 

8.Delft Circuits

CEO Sal Bosman talked to Sifted about how he secured VC funding for his ComplexTech startup. However, he decided to walk away from the deal, even when they had almost run out of money. Why did the Accelerator alumnus turn down the funding?

10.YES!Delft startups

YES!Delft startups in full bloom! Online publication Silicon Canals listed the top 10 fastest-growing tech startups in Delft. Above all, let’s just say we were not surprised eight out of ten startups listed were from YES!Delft!  Curious to see who made the list?
