On November 17th, YES!Delft will host a special edition of SHE LEADS in TECH! It is an event during which we will connect you with female tech heroes who are creating a positive societal impact through health-, and climate technology.
SHE LEADS in Tech provides a platform for (future) female founders and leaders in tech. The ones that focus on impact by technology: health tech, climate tech and deep tech.
The organisers are on a mission to inspire and activate anyone interested in technology who wants to be inspired in their career, meet role models, network and support us in our mission to get more women and diversity in tech.
– An international and inspirational line-up of female tech leaders and tech entrepreneurs who are accelerating solutions for human and planetary health through health and climate tech.
– Connect to an exceptional entrepreneurial community of highly skilled impact-driven female leaders in tech.
SHE LEADS in Tech is jointly organised by the Erasmus Enterprise community consisting of the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, YES!Delft, ERBS – Erasmus Research & Business Support, and in collaboration with partners from the innovation ecosystems from Erasmus University and TU Delft.

Melissa Ablett-Jordaan is the Chief Operating Officer of CIC, where she is responsible for overseeing CIC’s global centres, including sales, operations, IT and software development. Founded in 1999, CIC’s shared office facilities now host more than 2,000 companies across nine cities in the US, EU and Asia.
Farshida Zafar has a track record in the field of educational innovation. She co-designed, developed and implemented educational programs and new applications and platforms for educational purposes. Currently leading the ErasmusX initiative at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Farshida’s ambition is to ‘future-proof’ education.
Anna Handschuh is a Managing Director at YES!Delft Rotterdam. Her main focus lies on energy transition, climate tech and social tech. Anna always advocated science-based, impact-driven entrepreneurship with a hopeful eye on the potential future we can create.
Drs. Nupur Kohli is a multi-award winning Healthcare and Technology Leader, Speaker, Author, Medical Doctor and Harvard Business School, PLD Leadership (Exec MBA) candidate. She was a speaker in several sessions and delegate at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos 2022. She is a supervisory board member for UNICEF Netherlands, a board member of the Amsterdam Economic Board and an Advisory Council member World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community. Further, co-secretary of the United Nations Association Netherlands. Dutch Financial Times (FD) named her top 50 young leaders in the Netherlands in 2019.
Josefien Groot is a true visionary She co-founded Qlayers with Ruben Geutjens in 2017, and the company has quickly grown to become one of the most innovative tech companies in the field of robotic coating application. Because of her entrepreneurship and drive, she has won the prestigious Women Rising Innovator Prize 2020 from the European Commission and other prizes such as Inspiring Fifty Netherlands 2019, FD Young Talents 2020, the Elsevier Weekblad 30-under-30 talent list and most recently, was announced to be the winner of the EY Emerging Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022.
Carine de Meyere is the Director of TEDxWomen & the TEDxWomen Startup Award in the Netherlands. She educates TEDxWomen partners on how to incorporate diversity, inclusion and equity into their HR policies, and she bridges the gap between the Netherlands and America by annually bringing female executives and entrepreneurs to Silicon Valley, New York and Boston to educate Dutch-located corporate executives, and entrepreneurs and investors about both diversity & inclusion strategy’s as well as to allow them interesting investment opportunities.
Lotte Leufkens is an engineer, frequent speaker and successful entrepreneur. Lotte was formerly a top athlete, who stopped when she founded her own company CloudCuddle. As an entrepreneur, she became a Student Entrepreneur of the Netherlands and won the TEDx Amsterdam Women Startup Award.
An innovative, energetic, and driven leader, Annemarie De Jong is committed to driving positive change in e-mobility and renewable energy. She started her career in international relations in Brussels but quickly realized that real transitions happen in start- and scale-ups. She worked for Tesla in the Netherlands and Germany and for the Home Energy Storage company Sonnen in Berlin. Currently, Annemarie is Country Director for British EV-charging software company JumpTech in Germany.
Richard Goossens is a professor of Physical Ergonomics at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. At this faculty, he established the master track Medisign, design innovation for Healthcare (Human-Centred Healthcare) that involves co-creation with patients, medical professionals, and non-professional users (family and friends) in different projects.
Marsha Goei is the co-founder of Breeze, the fastest-growing dating app in The Netherlands. She’ll talk about her journey from being “just a student with startup ideas” towards finding product-market fit, pitching at Dragons’ Den and scaling her company. With her story, she wants to motivate other young women to pursue a path in entrepreneurship.
Kirsten Herben – Steinbusch holds a PhD from Wageningen University in Environmental biotechnology. Based on her PhD work, she co-founded Chaincraft in 2010 and joined 2014 DAB.bio as CEO. She leads the companies in their technical and commercial developments reaching technical maturity up to the pilot and demo scale.
Johanneke Mulder believes in making the impossible possible and aims to make a difference in creating a healthy and future-proof society. As a director at Erasmus MC, she is responsible for approximately 2000 employees within acute care that are all contributing to excellent healthcare, education, and research.
Maaike Zwart has been an alderman for Sustainability, Work, Income and Economy for the Municipality of Delft since June 2022. Her career started with a study of Architecture at Delft The University of Technology. Maaike Zwart especially admires the way in which Delft cherishes its history and, at the same time, is building a vibrant city that is ready for the future. “Together with the city, I am committed to taking significant steps towards a climate-neutral Delft in 2050.”
Vicky McIvor is an investment associate at World Fund, a €350m fund investing exclusively in European climate tech. Vicky has extensive knowledge in the energy & mobility spaces, and has previously worked at SET Ventures, and in nuclear decommissioning. Additionally, as co-founder of Climate Mosaic and The Climate Lab, Vicky is proud to work to empower underrepresented founders and investors in the climate space.
