At Protension Composites the fastest and most powerful methods are selected to be part of our preform manufacturing designs. Protension manufacturing technology is used to fully automate the production of 3D fibre preforms. The use of preforms eliminates the need to incorporate manual lamination processes in production. Composite preforming technologies and corresponding machinery are custom designed according to exact specifications. Reproducibility is a design driver in all of the developed manufacturing technologies. Combined with the integral structure of the fibre architecture itself (higher product performance), Protension preforming technology has found its way into personal protection equipment (motorsports, defense) and high-end sports equipment. New applications are found in the field of wind energy, aerospace and automotive technologies.
