5. Praxa Sense

7. Scoozy

Scoozy is happy to share that they have been selected as a finalist for the Breda Startup Awards! Stay tuned because the final event will take place on the 21st of September.

8. VideowindoW

During the Glass Performance Days in Finland, VideowindoW introduced a new performance value: the E-value. 9. Villari

Villari has secured a seed investment of €2.5 million from lead investor FORWARD.one and co-investors IQCapital (InnovationQuarter) and Delft Enterprises. The investment will help Villari to accelerate the international roll-out of their technology. More information can be found here.

Dawn Aerospace is happy to share that they have been selected as a finalist in two award categories at the European Space Forum: Innovation in Space for its spaceline and Sustainability in Space for its green chemical propulsion system.

3. Hardt Hyperloop

Hard Hyperloop has won the prestigious Nieuwe Helden Prijs 2023 from Rotterdamse Ondernemersprijs because of the startup’s demonstrated level of innovation and societal impact.

4. Memsys

6. Oasys Now

Oasys Now received a pre-seed investment with the support of a Graduate Entrepreneur. This investment is a co-investment with TenNine VC, Golden Egg Check and several angel investors. The funds will be used to expand the company’s workforce and accelerate the development of its services, bringing the company one step closer to its goal of making Personalized Medicine accessible to people globally.

7. Pats Indoor Drone Solutions

Together with Biobest Group PATS won the Innovation Award for Trap-Eye™, a wireless solution that replaces sticky trap scouting. It accurately identifies and counts insects, empowering growers with integrated pest management. More about this can be found here.

8. Smart-ship

Smart-ship has launched a new collaboration with SEAFAR. SEAFAR navigates ships from a distance across different regions to tackle a growing shortage of skilled personnel and enable an acceleration of the modal shift. By using Smart-Ship force-feedback control levers, they will enable inch-perfect navigation from 100+ kilometres distance.

9. Somnox

Somnox and Annovating receive a grant for the fight against insomnia with artificial intelligence.

A startup is developing an innovative robot that combats insomnia together with Annovating in The Hague. The aim of the project is to provide the sleep robot with artificial intelligence to learn from previous results and thus better combat sleep problems every day. More can be found here.

10. Tiler

As of this month, everyone who works at De Binckhorst The Hague can use an electric shared bicycle to explore the area. The e-bikes are charged wirelessly using the smart charging tiles of the Delft startup Tiler. More about this can be found in this article.

2. Beesage

3. Carice Cars

On the 10th of May, Carice Cars released its newest product – TC2 – an electric convertible that weighs 630 kg and has a mile range of 300 km. 4. Denoize

Denoize, in collaboration with Schiphol, has created a test house to demonstrate active soundproofing technology for windows. This technology is capable of recognising, filtering, and mitigating ambient noise. In this video, you can find out more information. The test lab will be open to visitors in September this year. 5. Loop Biotech

Loop Biotech – initiator and builder of the world’s first ‘living’ coffin that enriches the earth – presents an improved, more organic version of the Loop Living CocoonTM. The new products were launched at an event with Andre Kuipers and Shawn Harris on May 22nd. The startup is also launching the first fully biodegradable “EarthRise” urn and “ForestBed” funeral carrier to answer the demand for more eco-conscious funeral product options. 6. Micro-Cosmos

Micro-Cosmos is happy to share that two brand new Micro-Cosmos bed caps are permanently installed at the Isala Hospital in the Department of Neurology. Especially the brain care department was very enthusiastic about the peace and security that Micro-Cosmos offers. More can be found in this post.

7. Sensible Healthcare Systems

Sensible Healthcare Systems announced their pre-seed funding round financed by a group of expert investors, including Glass Frog Ventures and Graduate Entrepreneur. They will use the funds to develop further and market its minimally invasive continuous biosensing platform, initially focusing on the diabetes care market with a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sensor. We celebrated this positive news with a champagne alarm in the YES!Delft incubator together with the investors.

8. Supersola

Supersola raised an investment of 1 million euros under the leadership of ROM InWest to scale up the production of solar panels with socket plugs. More information can be found HERE.

9. Nurtio

Nurtio has a new partnership with Vodafone Business. This partnership will enable Nurtio to leverage its extensive network infrastructure, cutting-edge technologies, and expertise in the IoT industry. From now on, every gateway will be equipped with a Vodafone SIM card providing seamless connectivity that transcends geographical boundaries. The Global Data Service Platform (GDSP) is Vodafone’s dedicated IoT-managed service engine, enabling devices and assets with a global SIM to communicate securely with the Nurtio back-end system. 10. Momo Medical

Dawn Aerospace completed the first rocket-powered flight campaign of its Mk-|| Aurora spaceplane. They have completed 3 test flights in 3 days! 2. Maeve Aerospace

On Thursday, April 13th, Maeve presented its design at the public event of its Maeve 01 fully electric aircraft. Also, Lucy – Europe’s first all-electric airliner and Maeve Aerospace signed the first intentional pre-order for the Maeve 01! More information can be found HERE.

3. Momo Medical

Momo Medical has some great news to share! Besides becoming a winner of the National Zorginnovatie.nl audience award, now everyone can invest in a startup via the NPEX platform. Currently, more than 6,600 nursing home residents already use the Momo BedSense. In order to be able to support even more care workers in their work, a new investment round via NPEX is needed. 4. Nature’s Principles

Nature’s Principles is proud to share that last month startup produced its first product sample that will be tested with one of its partners. Their organic acid blend uses fewer resources in the feedstock process and production, making it more sustainable. More about it can be found HERE.

5. Nurtio Technologies

Nurtio announced its new partnership with NextGen Living Walls. NextGen Living Walls provides the easiest and most efficient plant vertical systems. 6. Sense Glove

Sense Glove raised  €3.25 million in a Series A funding round led by the Lumaux Tech Fund. This funding will accelerate startup growth, allowing them to innovate even more, develop new hand-haptic products, and expand its global reach. Find the full announcement post HERE.

7. Smart-Ship

Smart-ship received the formal approval of Bureau Veritas Group regarding its haptic control levers. In the upcoming weeks, they will start installing its technology on short sea vessels, a research vessel, electric ferries and a yacht!

8. Soundcell

Soundcell received a pre-seed investment from a graduate entrepreneur! Soundcel is developing a new diagnostic device capable of antibiotic resistance testing within hours rather than days. 9. STIL

Stil has received €4.6 million of funding from the EIC Accelerator. The startup will use the investment to make STIL Orthosis – and their company – ready for scaling up internationally. 10. Unpluq

Unpluq, a digital well-being startup that helps people reduce their mobile screen time and improve their mental health, announced the release of its first-ever iPhone app. The Unpluq app was developed to address the growing concern around the negative impact of mobile screen time on mental health, particularly among young people. VR-CGT has been approved by the Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit (NZa) as an optional performance. Mental health institutions and health insurers can explore the benefits of CleVR’s innovative VR technology in psychological treatments. They can make mutual agreements for the surcharge on regular performance, which could lead to better mental health outcomes for patients.

3. Dawn Aerospace

Dawn aerospace received certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA) for the imminent rocket-powered flight campaign. This will mark the first time a remotely piloted rocket-powered vehicle has been certified for the flight out of a civil airport. Read more HERE.

5. Micro-Cosmos

Micro-Cosmos started a trial period at the stroke care unit of the neurology department of Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei. Patients and nurses will gain experience with the benefits and working methods of the bed caps in the coming months. More information can be found HERE.

6. Nature’s Principles

Nature’s Principles are joining forces with Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant to produce the first batch of lactic acid-based products! The DEI+ subsidy from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) supports the project.

7. Respyre

Respyre is excited to share that together with Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland and NWO, they have established funding for a runway of around 12 to 18 months. With this funding, Respyre aims to launch its new commercial product in the fourth quarter and expand its moss-growing facilities. More information can be found HERE.

2. Aqysta

We are happy to share that Parya Lotfi, co-founder of DuckDuckGoose, has been granted the AI Entrepreneur award by Women in AI Netherlands! Women in AI is a nonprofit do-tank working towards inclusive AI that benefits global society. DuckDuckGoose is creating innovative and ethical AI solutions to combat the negative impact of deepfakes.

5. Envision

6. FeedbackFruits

FeedbackFruits selected by Utah Education Network (UEN) as winners for three categories: outcomes and assessment, social annotation, and polling! With their new partnership with UEN, Utah institutions can now purchase FeedbackFruits with no procurement processes. For more information, click HERE.

7. Momo Medical

Momo Medical BedSense was nominated as a winner of the regional preliminary round of South Holland for the Healthcare Innovation Award 2023 by a jury! The Momo BedSense provides healthcare professionals with insights and an overview of nursing home residents. Care providers can see at a glance what attention is needed from the residents, who, in return, reduce the workload. 

8. Qlayers

Qlayers has signed a cooperation agreement with Confined Space Robotics, under which CSR has officially become one of Qlayers’ clients in the North American region to deploy its robot for tank refurbishment projects. More information can be found HERE.

9. Somnox

Somnox and Drake & Farrell, the leading sustainability solution provider for circular supply chains, announce a long-term partnership. Drake & Farrell will build the Somnox 2 and establish an aftermarket solution. With this partnership, Somnox aims to extend its products’ lifecycle by using Drake & Farrell’s knowledge and experience on the circularity of electronics. This supports Somnox in its rollout of its new “Sleep As A Service” subscription model.

10. Tiler

Tiler was a winner of the challenge that the municipality of The Hague launched for innovative and sustainable transport ideas for the Binckhorst. The challenge was part of the national Startup in Residence Intergov program. Therefore for the upcoming 6 months, you will see Tilers wireless charging plates at various Park & Ride locations of The Hague for testing purposes.

1. Chainels

Chainels, the tenant experience app, announced that it had closed a successful Series-A funding round, raising nearly €3,000,000 from Belgian Capricorn Partners through their Capricorn Digital Growth Fund and Aconterra. Chainels is a property management portal and community platform which enhances communication between all stakeholders, including landlords, tenants, occupiers, investors, owners, developers, operators, local authorities and public officials.

2. Hardt Hyperloop

Hardt Hyperloop is happy to announce its latest investment from key industry and investment partners. This funding comes from several of its existing backers and multiple new EU- and US-based investors. This follows the commitment from the European Commission’s EIC Accelerator Program of €15 million just last year. This investment will enable Hardt to start the assembly of the European Hyperloop Center tubes, pushing forward on the goal of achieving a commercial hyperloop line before 2030. 3. Isisspace

ISISPACE Group is proud to confirm the successful launch of 47 payloads from 8 different countries during its ISILAUNCH38 mission on board Falcon 9 Rocket. The launch occurred on the 3rd of January from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) in Florida.

4. Mapiq

Mapiq is happy to share that its workplace experience platform is now available on Microsoft Azure Marketplace, making it easy for global enterprises to implement the solutions they need to improve how people connect and collaborate at work. More information can be found here.

5. Nurtio Technologies

Nurtio Technologies is happy to share that it has secured an undisclosed investment from the Amsterdam-based impact fund Shamrock Ventures. The received fund will help to accelerate the growth of its current product lineup, strengthen its market position and prepare to launch new products.

6. Pats Indoor Drone solution

Pats indoor Drone solution PATS-C system has won the silver medal in the Service & Software category of the Sival Innovation Awards of 2023.  PATS-C is an innovative device equipped with an infrared camera that records the flight movements of noctuids (moths) over an area of 100 m², representative of the pests’ activity in a one-hectare shelter.

7. Physee

Physee is happy to share that FOTONIQ, a spin-off company from PHYSEE, will further commercialise PAR+ horticulture coatings. During the first critical years of development, the product could mature under the wings of PHYSEE. Now that it has achieved significant traction in the market, it is time to spread its wings and continue as the independent company FOTONIQ. More information about it can be found here.

8. SenseGlove

SenseGlove is a winner of the KVK innovation Top 100 of 2022. The startup has been recognized as the most innovative company in the Netherlands. SenseGlove enables touch interaction in VR through some of the world’s most intuitive and affordable hardware and software.

9. Qlayers

Qlayers are one of the finalists in the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge! From over 4000 applications, Qlayers has been selected as one of the top six “Industry 4.0 and Autonomous Machines” finalists. 10. SuperSola

SuperSola won The Innovation price in the category “Home Appliances” at the CES 2023 Las Vegas.

Aquablu introduced its newest innovative product Aquablu REFILL+ designed to un-bottle the beverage industry. 2. Breeze social

Chat-free dating app Breeze has raised 1.3 million euros in funding. The capital injection came from well-known startup entrepreneurs such as Kalo Bagijn, Thomas Plantenga (CEO of Vinted), Thijs Verheul, Thijs Slijkhuis and Sjuul Berden (founders of United Wardrobe), Chris Zadeh (Ohpen) and JC Heyneke (Smarter AI). 3. Dawn Aerospace

Dawn Aerospace raised $20 million in funding. The $20 million will allow the company based in New Zealand, the Netherlands, and the US to expand its offering of satellite propulsion systems and spaceplane development. The funding will support new endeavours, including developing the Mk-III, an orbital spaceplane, and delivering in-space propulsion products to GEO, lunar and higher-thrust customers. 4. Envision AI

Envision is excited to share that they are one of the winners of the 11th annual AppleVis Golden Apple Awards. Envision AI empowers people who are blind or have low vision by providing access to everyday visual information. Utilising the iPhone camera, the app can speak out written information, describe surroundings and objects, and even tell you who’s nearby. It became completely free with the release of version 3.0 in July 2022.

5. Mapiq

SaaS scaleup Mapiq extends Series A to 17 million euros! The company specializes in the design of smart offices. With this funding, a scale-up will be able to meet the growing demand of a worldwide organization that is in need of hybrid working models, develop new products and expand its market-leading position on an international scale.

6. Qlayers

Qlayers is raising €𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 through the NPEX stock exchange to further develop its innovative robotic technology for coating large-scale industrial assets. 7. Sense Glove

Sense Glove, a startup from YES!Delft community were announced as the winner of the KVK Innovatie Top 100! SenseGlove has developed a ‘robotic hand’ that allows you to touch, feel and manipulate a virtual object as if it were a real object. The innovation offers countless application possibilities that entail dematerialisation, financial savings and sustainability.

8. Smart Ship

Smart-Ship and D&A Electric® join forces to increase fuel efficiency, safety and operator performance on all D&A Electric vessels. It will help to optimize ship operator performance and make it easier when combining traditional propulsion with battery-powered and even wind-assisted solutions. 9. Maeve aerospace

Maeve Aerospace has been selected for a final injection of 17.5 million euros from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). Maeve will receive a grant of 2.5 million euros and possibly 15 million euros in co-investments. In addition to the investment from the EU, Maeve expects to be able to complete a successful investment round with interested private investors in the short term. More information can be found here.

2. Aquablu

Aquablu has been nominated in the Challenger50. This prestigious nomination is awarded to the most innovative and promising companies that are not afraid to think outside the box. Aquablu got into the list along with companies like Crisp, Picnic and VanMoof. They hope to change existing business practices by showing companies how to evolve using a more sustainable approach. 4. BeeSage

BeeSage, a startup that has joined the YES!Delft community, via the Accelerator program this year October, is happy to share that they have won a pre-startup prize (€10,000) during the annual Haagse Vernieuwers challenge by ImpactCity.The challenge focuses on scale-ups to solve social issues around the topics such as sustainability, energy climate, food and safety. BeeSage aims to ensure that The Hague becomes the first city in the world with fully connected urban beehives, enabling data-driven beekeeping for productivity and sustainability.

5. Circularise

Circularise won the Automotive Global Awards 2022 in the sustainability category at the Destination Zero Live, organized by automotiveEV and Automotive purchasing and supply chain. Also, a company secured €11 million in funding to advance its mission and bring a circular economy to industrial supply chains.

6. Micro-Cosmos

Micro-Cosmos has placed its developed bed hood in the dutch VVT sector at the Nursing Alerimus in Oud-Beijerland. It is a unique opportunity for startups since this is the first healthcare organization in the VVT sector to try out the bed hood in the Netherlands. During the test placement, this location will get acquainted / gain experience with the working method and benefits of the bed hood. More peace, fewer stimuli and a safe environment for the resident!

7. Nowi

Nexperia, the expert in essential semiconductors, on the 11th of November, announced a broadening of its portfolio of power management products to include energy harvesting solutions and acquired Nowi. The manufacturing capacity and capability of Nexperia, as well as its global infrastructure, will ensure that together, Nowi will be able to speed the production of these solutions enabling higher volume production and shipping by the end of 2022 and early 2023.

8. SenseGlove

SesnseGlove is proud to share that Team Nimbo from Germany, using the SenseGlove DK1, has won the $5M prize after intense competition in Long Beach, California, USA. ANA Avatar Xprize is an event that takes place over the span of four years, with teams competing from all over the globe. 9. Praxa Sense

Most visitors at the G100 exhibition at Dutch Design Week indicated the heart monitor Afi, developed and designed by Praxa Sense, is their favourite industrial design! Therefore the product has been nominated as the top 1 in terms of design. 

10. Tiler, Ubiqu, Villari, Circularise

The dutch delegation to the Sluch event is growing each year! This year four, YES!Delft startups also participated. Tiler represented its charging tile for e-bikes that inductively charges via the kickstand. Ubiqu represented its innovative solution to provide the highest digital security for the business’s essential information. Villari represented its wireless structural health monitoring technology that aims to help make a data-driven maintenance decision. And circularise represents its software platform that provides end-to-end traceability and secure data exchange for industrial supply chains.

1. CleVR

Virtual Reality has proven to be effective in the treatment of (social) anxiety, panic complaints and suspicion. Therefore CleVR, together with MET ggz kicked off the virtual reality (VR) exposure therapy pilot! Seven practitioners have followed a training course provided by CleVR and will now work for a year on using VR during anxiety and phobia treatments. More info can be found here.

2. DuckDuckGoose

DuckDuckGoose AI  won the Digital Innovation Award 2022 at IDnext! DuckDuckGoose uses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to detect deepfakes in a fast, reliable, yet insightful and explainable way. Their developed technology met all the assessments of the nomination criteria taking into account technological and commercial innovativeness, respect for privacy, potential impact, and added value for users and other stakeholders! 3. IMSystems

The European Innovation Council (EIC) invests € 9 million in IMSystems with the goal to commercialize the Archimedes Drive. IMSystems invented the Archimedes Drive, a new highly precise speed reducer technology which is fundamental to enable the creation of more accurate robotic technologies. With this funding, EIC shows the importance of automation improvement in further strengthening the position of Europe. More about this can be found here.

4. AgriData innovations

AgriData Innovations will be the autopilot for farms of the future in order to future-proof food security and agricultural production. This will be realised by deploying imaging systems and crop monitoring AI, modelling crops to extract insights and intelligence and driving automation of controlled environment agriculture. Also, this year a startup had the privilege to be 1 of 8 outstanding deeptech startups that are making great strides in the Agri & Food sectors. More information about it can be found here.

5. Qlayers

Josefien Groot, CEO and co-founder of Qlayers, has won EY‘s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year of 2022 award! The independent jury was impressed by the enormous drive and vision of the young entrepreneur! Josefien will also be one of the speakers at the SHE LEADS in TECH event that will take place on the 17th of November at YES!Delft. Curious about the journey of Qlayers? Stay tuned! 6. Respyre

Auke Bleij, a co-founder of Respyre, out of 9 Top Talents that focuses on concrete initiatives, on how we can green our cities, remove CO2 and nitrogen from the air, among others, has been nominated as the Top 1 ‘Most Innovative Student of the Netherland 2022’. Respyre developed a concrete and a concrete plaster that accommodates moss growth on its surface. With the bioreceptive concrete, Respyre turns any unused surface into an opportunity to bring vegetation into the urban environment. 7. Momo Medical

Momo Medical was announced as one of the winners at the Oranje Handelsmissiefonds! The winning startup will be invited to major national events aimed at international business, receive workshops in financing, tax, and legal affairs, tailor-made interviews with representatives from the Oranje Handelsmissiefonds International Network and more! Also  through NPEX, it was possible for everyone to invest in Momo Medical at the end of July. Within a week, a startup reached its target, and that is why Rudmer Hoekstra and Alan van Griethuysen visited their office on Wednesday to present an award and to reflect on this moment together.

8. Loop, Scoozy, Tiler, Super Sola, Hable one, Praxa Sense

YES!Delft startup products such as Praxa Sense, Loop, Scoozy, Tiler, Super Sola, and Hable one, a startup that participated in the SocialTech validation Lab, have been selected and represented as the 100 Best Dutch designed products that are not only a solution to the real problem but are also innovative and/or original, well designed by a Dutch designer or for a Dutch company and not older than 2 years.

9. Villari

Villari is excited to announce that it has secured EUR 350.000 in funding from UNIIQ – Finance for the Future. These funds will allow a startup to further develop its technology, install its sensor base and expand its team. They have several open vacancies that can be found here! 10. Tiler

Tiler is happy to announce that last week they launched a new product – Tiler UNO! The new design of the TILER Charge Tile and Charge Stand is even more robust, sleeker, and made with an eye on sustainability. The new Charge Stand is an accessory for a bike and is very easy to install. The Stand and the Tile are easy to maintain and repair when necessary and are designed for end-of-life recycling! The product is displayed on the Dutch Design Week in hall three at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven.
